St. Catharines, Ontario (25 February 2011) - CLIC Construction’s approach to superior performance, execution and exemplary project management for its St. Catharines Downtown project was recognized with a prominent award by the Niagara Construction Association.
CLIC Construction received the 2010 Project of the Year Award (in the projects under one million category) from the Niagara Construction Association for its project “The Suites of Garden Park.”
The award recognizes construction companies, who have completed projects in the Niagara Region, for the accomplishments of a project and superior performance and execution of exemplary project management.
During the awards ceremony, that took place at Club Roma in St Catharines, the presenter of the award Tyler Green (of Cotton Construction) noted that the challenges of projects in the under a million dollar category are often greater then much larger projects.
Constructed in 2010 in St. Catharines downtown, the project “The Suites of Garden Park” converted a century old derelict downtown commercial building into modern suite type apartments.
The building was once known as an “Eyesore”1 and since it was taken over by new owners in 2008 the building it is now on the leading edge of the downtown revitalization. Representing a significant private investment in the St. Catharines’ downtown core.
Chris Lowes, President of CLIC Construction said “The award is a tribute to the project management team and all the trades that collaborated to the success of the project. We won this award because we pride ourselves on working closely with our clients and providing a level of personal service, second to none.”
